I have been offered a job working for a small beltline railroad. I also am waiting to hear back on a conductors job at a large railroad. I have friends at both that are helping me with the process. I just want to know the best place to work if they both offer me a position. (pay, benifits,...)Kind of need to know soon.

Take the short line job, then when you can get a job on a class I, take that. The seniority is systemwide on the BNSF, great stuff.

GO for the Class I. It pays better and has better benefits. Almost any job though will be 24/7 and oncall to start. Good Luck!
