Anyone heard of LECMPA job insurance. I keep hearing bad things, but also some good things. Anyone know if this is a good deal or a rip?

I know for a while, LECMPA would not insure KCS workers because everytime you turned around, the KCS was finding reasons to discipline people by cutting them out of work. It usually followed some type of injury to the worker and then the KCS blamed the injured guy.

I heard that a lot of the people who had that could never collect. There was always some loophole in the policy that prevented the policy from paying. Guys were really getting ripped off.

They fudged me, I paid them for 3 years, got fired, refused to pay because the carrier is always right, after PLB I got my job and seniority back, but not a dime from LE&cmpa. SO I say $@#* 'em.

It's a total rip off. Try to get paid if you sign a waiver. No Go. Then if you have a couple of problems they drop you like no bodies business.

You are better off if you can get into the UTU DIPP fund where they honor the contract and pay even if you sign a waiver and don't drop you. That's the facts.

All railroads blame their employees for their injuries. If there is not a rule to fault the employee the railroad adds a new Rule to the rulebook to cover the incident.

Being RAILROADED by Definition is to be convicted in a hasty manner by means of false charges or insufficient evidence:

Example: The employee fell down and broke his back while running down the stairs when the building caught on fire.

In ALL cases the employee is at fault because he should not have gone to work that day !
