As a employee of the Union Pacific RR I have seen alot of my own union brothers stabbing each other in the back. It seem's to me that running to the boss to tattle tale make's some employee's think they are going to get ahead. We should stick together, and resolve our differances as men. Sometimes I think the railroad would rather have a group of employees that do not get along very well. They probley figure they will get more work done. What do you think? |

Speed, that seems to be the case I think all over the country, the carrier has a few chosen ones as I refer to them that they rely on for information regarding other employees. The Carrier's use this to their advantage when there is fighting amongst the unionized employees. It plays into the carriers hands when union brothers and sisters turn on one another because it shows vulnerability and weakness in the strength of the Union. As a Union Representative I have tried to curb that on the property where I work and it is the responsibility of all unionized members to curb this kind of behavior, it hurts the membership and sets a bad precedent regarding our solidarity.

Hell at least your union, I worked for a railroad contractor and they treated us beyond bad, Boss hated me because I was in a union in a previous job. And wanted a better, staffer work environment.
